Asthma and breathing pathomechanics: The effects of mouth breathing and hyperventilation on asthmatic symptoms.

For many of us breathing sits as an unconscious action, often taken for granted until we have to hold it or have it cut off in an emergency event. For some, breathing is harnessed as a source of athletic power, or a tool to find focus or relaxation. For others still, breathing is a chore, a labor, a source of apprehension.
